COMPETITION Fast 5’s (4 players + GK), boys, girls, and mixed teams (registering 9 player’s maximum)
COST: $400 per team

ELIGIBILITY
- Students competing must be enrolled full-time in the school they are representing.
- New Zealand students competing must be in Year 9 or Year 10.
- Students may compete in more than one code, however timetable allowances will not be made for any competitors.
- Competitors must be Year 9 or Year 10 during tournament year (2017).
- Competitor’s birthdates will be required on future team registration documentation.

COSTS
Schools are required to pay the entry fee of $400.00 per team (NZD$).
Invoices will be sent to the School Accounts Manager after the entry closing date, 13th April 2017.

Entries to the 2017 YOUTH GAMES will be made and only accepted online:
There won’t be a hardcopy of the registration sheet in the booklet to complete as we have moved to online entries with EnterNOW.
Registrations will only be accepted from the designated School YOUTH GAMES Coordinator.
If registration for Hockey is oversubscribed, then it will become a first come first served situation (if registration is unsuccessful the individual entry will be refunded).

RULES
- Format: Hockey 5’s (4 players + GK) registering 9 players max. (Hockey New Zealand endorsed format)
- Teams would play a 2-3 games per day.
- Teams consist of no more than 9 players.
- Competition Format: Boys, Girls and Mixed – all competitive for first couple of rounds then re-grade to form a championship and ribbons team.
- All team managers are required to have their team’s medical forms with them throughout the week.
- The Tournament Director and his/her delegate for the purpose shall reserve the right to levy point penalties and disqualifications in the event of serious breaches of behaviour and etiquette, but shall endeavour to firstly provide guidance, and secondly warnings, where practical.
- The Tournament Director has the final say on all rules of play, and any disputes and penalties which may arise during the competition.
THE DRAW FOR FIRST ROUND
The draw will be emailed to all team managers by Friday morning 2nd June, published on the Youth Games website.
